Directly interface your controller to the HIL emulator
To completely test, verify, and certify your power electronics controller in hardware-in-the-loop configuration it is critical that the controller under test is not modified in any way. Controller has to “feel” that it is controlling the real converter hardware, meaning that all the current/voltage/optical I/O interfaces have to behave as the real power stage signals. All the interface signals have to be provided by HIL and impedances and signal levels have to be matched.
Our engineers refined their immense power electronics industry experience into Connect interface system to support all major types of connectors, from terminal blocks to BNCs. Because of this, you can connect your controller to the emulator with the exact same cables that you would use in reality.

Measurement subsystem emulation
To enable direct connection of unaltered controller IO signals to the emulator, the HIL Connect device conditions and transduces IO signals (i.e. shifts voltage, converts voltage to current, voltages to light etc.).
With the HIL Connect, your controller will “feel” like it’s interfaced to LEM sensors, relays and contactors, and any sensor you can imagine.
Custom connectors, IO levels and
power supplies in three easy steps
Step 1: IO Specification
Our team of experts works with your engineers to specify all electrical, mechanical, and modeling customization tasks for your new HIL Connect system. Once the spec is approved we move to the prototyping phase.
Step 2: Customization
Following the specification steps our engineering team designs and manufactures your new HIL Connect system. Series of IO tests ensure the performance of the interface system.
Step 3: Commissioning
After extensive testing, HIL Connect is delivered to your site, and with the assistance from our specialists, the on-site commissioning is performed.

HIL Connect example systems
