Directly interface your controller to the HIL emulator
To completely test, verify, and certify your power electronics controller in hardware-in-the-loop configuration it is critical that the controller under test is not modified in any way. Controller has to “feel” that it is controlling the real converter hardware, meaning that all the current/voltage/optical I/O interfaces have to behave as the real power stage signals. All the interface signals have to be provided by HIL and impedances and signal levels have to be matched.
Our engineers refined their immense power electronics industry experience into Connect interface system to support all major types of connectors, from terminal blocks to BNCs. Because of this, you can connect your controller to the emulator with the exact same cables that you would use in reality.

Measurement subsystem emulation
To enable direct connection of unaltered controller IO signals to the emulator, the HIL Connect device conditions and transduces IO signals (i.e. shifts voltage, converts voltage to current, voltages to light etc.).
With the HIL Connect, your controller will “feel” like it’s interfaced to LEM sensors, relays and contactors, and any sensor you can imagine.

We distilled our experience in interfacing with various controllers, protection relays, and diesel gensets, and created a universal hardware interface device.
The Universal HIL Connect conditions one row of I/O signals, from any HIL device, converting to voltage outputs of ±130 V RMS, or current outputs of up to 2 A RMS.
Like our HIL4 and HIL6 series, the Universal HIL Connect ships from stock, so you can get up-and-running fast.

The Universal HIL Connect fits your needs, but you don’t need all of its capabilities? Or, you want to change some of its I/O specifications?
You can populate up to 8 slots on the Modular HIL Connect chassis, and create your own, semi-custom, hardware interface to our HIL emulators.
Pick between tens of different I/O cards available from stock, and receive your Modular HIL Connect in the shortest lead time possible.
