HIL CCS Interface Card

Information about the HIL CCS Interface card, a dedicated module for testing smart charge communication of electric vehicles and electric vehicle supply equipment.
Overview of the purpose and connectivity of the HIL CCS Interface
The HIL CCS Interface card is a dedicated module for testing the smart charge communication of electric vehicles and electric vehicle supply equipment. The module can simulate both communication partners, the electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and the electric vehicle (EV) itself and offers the following features:

- Control pilot (CP) and Proximity Pilot (PP) circuit for PWM communication according to IE 61851-1 Annex A
- Power line communication (PLC) with Devolo dLAN® GreenPHY Module which is connected to the board and communicates with HIL device via Ethernet RJ45 connector
- Voltage measurement of proximity contact (PP) and Control Pilot (CP)
- Several possibilities to simulate errors and vary component values
- PWM signal is generated and measured on the application board
- Parameters of the CP/PP voltage, PWM signal and the relays to switch the signal paths can be controlled from the model, in real time, through Typhoon API (with SCADA or test scripts)
GreenPHY module. Snap-in connectivity

The GreenPHY module comes already mounted in the CCS interface board. This is shipped with the pre-requested configuration (for EV or EVSE). Further changes to the configuration can be done via Ethernet using the plctool library from the Qualcomm Atheros Open Powerline Toolkit.
