Nikola is the CEO and co-founder of Typhoon-HIL, and was the leader of the team that developed both the theoretical algorithms and experimental validation of the world’s first 1μs ultra-low latency Hardware-in-the Loop (HIL) real-time emulator platform for power electronics.
Prior to founding Typhoon HIL he was with the ABB Drives Development Department, Turgi, Switzerland. Previously he was with the ABB Research Center, Baden-Dättwil, Switzerland.
He holds a Ph.D. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg in 1995, an M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, and a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia.

Ivan is the Chief Business Development Officer and co-founder of Typhoon-HIL, and was a member of the team that developed both the theoretical algorithms and experimental validation of the world’s first 1μs ultra-low latency Hardware-in-the Loop (HIL) real-time emulator platform for power electronics. He is responsible for business development, technology and product development vectors, and innovation.
He holds an Sc.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, an M.Sc. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a Diploma Engineer degree from the University of Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia, all in electrical engineering and computer science.

John is a Board Member and founder of Typhoon HIL. He has been on the Faculty of Physics at MIT for 37 years, and currently serves as the Francis Wright Davis Professor of Physics and Director of the Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies.
Professor Joannopoulos is the author or co-author of about 500 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, three textbooks on Photonic Crystals, and holds over 50 issued U.S. Patents. Since 2003, he has been recognized as one of the Thompson ISI most Highly Cited Researchers. He has received numerous prestigious fellowships and awards for his research and teaching experience.
He has served as Divisional Associate Editor of Physical Review Letters and as a member of the Editorial Board of Reviews of Modern Physics. He is also co-founder of three other start-up companies: OmniGuide, Luminus Devices, and WiTricity.
He received his B.A. and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dusan is the Chief Technology Officer, and was a member of the team that developed both the theoretical foundation and hardware platform for the world’s first 1μs ultra-low latency Hardware-in-the Loop (HIL) real-time emulator platform for power electronics. He leads both the technology and product development in Typhoon HIL. In addition, he is the chief architect of Typhoon’s FPGA-based electric circuit solver.
His fields of interest include high-performance real-time computing, dynamic system modeling, and design of automated testing systems.

Milan is the Chief Financial Officer, and is responsible for finance and administrative of the company.
He is with Typhoon HIL from 2018. Before joining, he worked over 15 years in several leading CEE banking groups in Serbia such as Erste, NBG, and OTP group. In that time he held team lead positions within corporate risk and credit analysis departments and lead several projects related to business integration, crisis management, and new policy implementation.
Milan holds a M.A. in Financial Management and a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the School of Economics University of Novi Sad.

Paul is Senior Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, responsible for growing Typhoon’s capability and influence in ways that advance greater energy system performance and resilience.
He is a registered professional engineer with over 40 years of experience leading engineering, construction, and research projects, primarily in the energy field. As a US Army engineer officer, Paul managed construction projects world-wide and guided service-wide strategies related to energy and resilience. As a civilian engineering and project manager, he led engineering, safety, and training efforts in petrochemical, nuclear, and other industrial facilities.
He remains active in energy and resilience research, youth STEAM, and veteran support programs. Paul is a West Point alumnus with graduate degrees from Boston University (MBA) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (SM and Nuclear Engineer).

Matt brings a wealth of experience to the Typhoon team in his role as the Director of Microgrids and Critical Power. He has worked at the company since 2017 in a sales and management role.
Before Typhoon, Matt worked at Fairlead Integrated / Earl Energy where he focused on project management and business development for hybrid energy projects. His operations background includes 28-years of service in the United States Marine Corps where he commanded an infantry battalion in Afghanistan and the Security Cooperation Group charged with coordinating Marine Corps advising activities world-wide.
Matt graduated from the Naval Academy with a BS in Aerospace Engineering, the University of Maryland with a MS in Aerospace Engineering, and Old Dominion University with an MBA.

Rados is the Vice President for Sales in Europe and Asia and is responsible for developing and managing our Europe and Asia sales team and channels to drive revenue growth, expand the customer base, and improve gross margins.
Bringing over 10 years of experience in sales and business development to the role, Rados has been a part of Typhoon since 2012. Prior to joining Typhoon HIL, he was a founding member of several initiatives, taking on various roles including managing a small-sized production studio.

Ljubomir is a Channel manager and is responsible for the development, service, and growth of relationships with channel partners (agents, distributors, and value-added partners).
He is with the company since 2016. Before he took the role of Channel manager, Ljubomir was heavily involved in business development with a focus on the Asia and South East Asia market.
Ljubomir holds a Bachelor with Honors in Engineering Management from the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, Serbia.
