HIL Compatible®

Bring Danfoss iC7 Control into the HIL Loop

Real Controllers. Real-Time Simulation. Safer Product Validation.

HIL Compatible® Technology for Danfoss iC7 System Products

Co-developed with Danfoss Drives, the MyDrive HIL iC7 System Drive is a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) solution purpose-built for the iC7 System Module family — Danfoss’s multi-converter architecture for high-power industrial, marine, and hybrid applications. Each system includes real Danfoss control hardware, firmware, and software for authentic C-HIL testing across all iC7 System Module variants: iC7-Automation, iC7-Marine, and iC7-Hybrid.

A single unit hosts three fully independent controllers, and multiple units can be combined to mirror larger, real-world system configurations. Engineers can develop, validate, and commission applications on actual control hardware in a safe test environment.

iC7 System Module HIL Compatible® allows you to:

  • Test difficult scenarios safely: Validate critical operating conditions in a controlled environment while reducing the risk of equipment damage.
  • Reduce commissioning time: Optimize and verify system behaviour earlier to cut test and commissioning time from days to hours.
  • Maintain and improve over the lifetime: Run automated tests on every software update to keep the system reliable long after commissioning.

Validate iC7 Firmware, Parameters, and Performance in Real Time

The MyDrive® HIL setup allows us to emulate dozens of drive variants, paired with any motor that is used in our equipment. The system is well integrated into Typhoon HIL environment and there is good documentation to get up and running quickly – within a few hours of opening the box. I am impressed with how robust the system operation is. Simulations often fail if conditions change too quickly or deviate too much from nominal values. The MyDrive® HIL system runs and gives reasonable results even with aggressive commands and load profiles.
