Accountant

Tajfun HIL d.o.o. – Novi Sad, Republic of Serbia 

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Accountant to join our team in Novi Sad. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, well-organised, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Entry and posting of RSD and foreign currency bank statements
  • Receipt, entry and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices, and independent work in the Serbian e-Invoicing System (SEF)
  • Posting and organisation of domestic business travel
  • Handling payment transactions as required – RSD and foreign currency payments
  • Preparation of statistical reports
  • Management of financial documentation and archives
  • Preparation of VAT records and tax returns
  • Participation in the preparation of the annual financial statements and working with the external auditor
  • Keeping up to date with legislation and aligning accounting practice accordingly 

Required qualifications: 

  • At least a Level VI qualification (higher education) in economics, finance or a related discipline (Faculty of Economics preferred)
  • Knowledge of VAT, personal income tax and corporate income tax legislation
  • At least 2 years of experience in the duties described above
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • English at B2 level or above (written and spoken) 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Experience in the manufacturing or IT industry
  • Experience in working with auditors
  • Familiarity with Microsoft BC365 accounting software
