Project Manager

At Typhoon HIL we build the projects that put Hardware-in-the-Loop technology to work for customers advancing sustainable power worldwide. We’re looking for a Project Manager for Customer Solutions who can take an ambiguous, high-stakes customer challenge and turn it into a clear, well-run, delivered outcome.  

Here’s the important part: you do not need to come from an engineering or power-electronics background. If you are the kind of person who can walk into an unfamiliar problem, quickly build a mental map of it, ask the right questions, keep calm and decisive when things get messy, and bring people with you, we can teach you the domain. Curiosity and the drive to learn matter more to us than the badge on your CV.  

What you’ll do  

• Lead and manage customer-solution projects end to end, keeping them aligned with Typhoon HIL’s strategy and our clients’ expectations. 
• Design and run practical delivery frameworks, drawing on OKR, Agile, Lean and Waterfall. 
• Work closely with stakeholders to define goals, deliverables, and resources and keep everyone aligned as things evolve. 
• Spot risks early and resolve situations before they become fires. 
• Mentor and coach colleagues, sharing what you know and helping the team grow. 
• Keep an eye on market and customer signals so our work serves real business needs.  

What we’re looking for  

• Learning agility above all: a proven ability to get up to speed fast in domains that are new to you, and to explain complex things simply. 
• A structured mind: you can take a vague brief and turn it into phases, milestones, owners, and risks. 
• Composure under ambiguity: you make sound decisions with incomplete information and adapt when plans change. 
• Ownership: you close loops and deliver, and you own the outcome –> good or bad. 
• People skills: you build trust across technical and business audiences and enjoy developing others. 
• At least 2-5 years of experience managing projects (ideally multiple projects simultaneously). Background in software, automotive software, or power electronics is a strong plus, but not required. 
• PMP and/or PRINCE2, an engineering degree (e.g., Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad), or an MBA are all welcome, and all optional. Show us how you think and what you’ve delivered.
