Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our US Operations team at our Waltham, MA office. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international technology company that will require you to take on a variety of responsibilities across accounting and operations. Your primary responsibility is the day-to-day accounting and banking operations of Typhoon HIL, Inc., working directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC365), our ERP platform. As a member of the US Operations team, you will also support broader office and operational activities. You will report to the US Operations Manager, with functional guidance on accounting matters from the group Financial Operations Team Lead.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process and post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in BC365
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations (USD and FX accounts)
  • Maintain accurate records of intercompany transactions
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
  • Prepare and process outgoing payments and manage daily banking activity
  • Support preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
  • Assist with sales tax filings and compliance, following the company’s established process
  • Coordinate with external tax, legal, and payroll advisors and provide supporting documentation
  • Help prepare and maintain documentation for internal controls and Finance procedures
  • Support broader US office operations as needed, including order administration, shipping and logistics documentation, and general office coordination
  • Other tasks as directed by the US Operations Manager or the Financial Operations Team Lead

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred), Finance, or a related field (recent graduates welcome)
  • Strong academic record — GPA of 3.5 or above (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ERP systems, in particular Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV
  • Exposure to international or multi-entity accounting environments
  • Basic understanding of intercompany transactions and FX concepts
