Capture and scope mutual functions

Description of the shared functions between the Capture and Scope tools in the Capture/Scope widget in HIL SCADA

The Capture/Scope widget has three parts (Figure 1):

  1. Toolbar – there are options for signals, trigger and measurements, and presets (number 1 in Figure 1)
  2. Subplots (number 2 in Figure 1)
  3. Plotting options – these are options that are used for the subplot (number 3 in Figure 1)

  • Trigger settings - opens the trigger settings pane (Figure 5 and Figure 5) where the trigger type, source, edge, threshold, and offset can be specified.
  • Show/hide legend - shows or hides the legend with signal names
  • Invert background color - inverts the background plot surface colors
  • Layout of subplots - change the layout of subplots (available layouts are Grid and Vertical)
  • Presets - a convenient way to switch between widget settings (Capture and Scope presets)
