Data Logging Widgets

This section describes data logging widgets

Widgets from the Data Logging group are used to log various data to the user specified data file.

The following widgets are available in this group:

  1. Signal Data Logger widget – stores arbitrary number of analog and digital signals’ data to the user specified .mat or .csv data file. Logging can be started on the simulation start and paused (and started again) with the dedicated button. This widget is similar to the monitoring widgets except collected data are not visualized and they are stored in data file for further analysis.
  2. Stream Data Logger widget - stores a stream of data that comes from Streaming Analog and Digital signals to the user specified .csv, .h5 or .mf4 data file. Similarly as in case of Signal Data Logger, logging can be started, paused and restarted with the dedicated button.
Note: Streaming Analog and Digital signals are a subset of available regular Analog and Digital signals whose streamed data are available immediately after the simulation is started.
Note: It is not recommended to use .csv data format for high data transfer rates.
