Egston SFP Link
This section provides basic information regarding accessing and communication between Typhoon HIL device and EGSTON COMPISO Amplifier System.
This component transmits and receives data over the SFP port (upper port on HIL404 and HIL606 devices - HW setup) using Egston SFP Link protocol and provides the link status. The output port of the Egston SFP Link component provides the Egston SFP Link physical status where one (1) means that the link is up.
Typhoon HIL Implementation
Currently, Egston SFP Link is supported by the following devices:HIL404 and HIL606 (via custom firmware configuration only).
Component | Component dialog | Component properties |
---|---|---|
Egston SFP Link |
|
Component properties are described in Table 2.
Property name | Description |
---|---|
HIL is master | Allows to select if HIL is master or slave. |
CSU type | This property allows you to choose group of 4 or 6 amplifiers, GAMP4 or GAMP6, respectivley. |
Operation mode | Allows you to select desired operation mode, which is defined by CSU/GAMP type, the Application type and the source type. |
Send channel signal | Depending on the CSU type you will either have 4 or 6 channels. These properties allow you to select signals from the model which you want to send to Egston device. |
Ports
- Input (sfp_reset_n)
- Negative reset. Value which resets Egston SFP communication.
- Supported types: uint, int, real.
- Vector support: no.
- Negative reset. Value which resets Egston SFP communication.
- Input (pwm_enable)
- Value which enables or disables Egston component send channels.
- Supported types: uint, int, real.
- Vector support: no.
- Value which enables or disables Egston component send channels.
- Output (link_status)
- Output of the component is the physical link status.
- Supported types: uint, int, real.
- Vector support: no
- Output of the component is the physical link status.
Virtual HIL support
Virtual HIL currently does not support this protocol. When using a Virtual HIL environment (e.g. when running the model on a local computer), inputs to this component will be discarded and outputs from this component will be zeroed.
