Grid Modernization

This section describes the Grid Modernization library category in Typhoon HIL Schematic Editor.

Note: In software releases 2026.1 and earlier, the Grid Modernization library was known as the Microgrid library.

The Grid Modernization library category includes a set of components and devices frequently found in AC and DC grids and microgrids, that are implemented in Schematic Editor in such a way that you can easily add them to your modeled system. These components have their control loops implemented with signal processing blocks and can be fully parametrized through their component properties.
