Detailed functionality and use of the pre-built Component Libraries in Schematic Editor
Component library
This section describes the general properties of the component library in Schematic Editor, and provides a list of main types of components available in it.
Transformers
This section describes the general properties of all transformer components in Typhoon HIL's Schematic Editor, such as an ideal transformer, a single-phase three winding transformer, a three-phase four winding transformer, etc. There are currently 9 different transformer components in Schematic Editor.

Ideal transformer with variable transfer ratio

This section describes ideal transformer with variable transfer ratio

The ideal transformer with variable transfer ratio is composed of an ideal current controlled current source on one side and an ideal voltage controlled voltage source on other side. Transfer ratio of the transformer is defined through 'ratio' signal input. The schematic symbol is given in Table 1.

Note: Ideal transformer with variable transfer ratio is using a dedicated hardware solver called Time Varying Components Solver Unit Devices that support the solver are listed in tables in Circuit solver configurations.
