Power Electronics Professional Toolbox

Description of the capabilities of the Power Electronics Professional toolbox

Real-time only: This document is valid only for real-time/VHIL simulation.

The Power Electronics Professional toolbox expands the FGPA processing capabilities of a given HIL device beyond what is typically available with the Starter Features. Specifically, the Power Electronics Professional toolbox enables Ideal Converter Weight up to 12 per HIL device.

The Ideal Converter Weight represents the Maximum total weight of converters that can be assigned to a single Standard Processing Core for the given device configuration. Converter Weight is a non-linear measurement that differs for each converter. If you exceed this value in your model, consider if there is a need for circuit partitioning. Alternatively, upgrading to an Expert Feature Pack may increase this value.

Note: Unlocking the Power Electronics Professional toolbox cannot enable an Ideal Converter Weight greater than the maximum allowed for a given device or configuration. Please refer to the Device Configuration Table documentation for your selected HIL device and configuration for more information on the maximum Ideal Converter Weight.

You can find out if your model exceeds the Ideal Converter Weight limit during compilation by checking the compiler log.

For information about other toolboxes, please refer to the Schematic Editor Toolboxes documentation.
