Safety Guidelines

Do not use this product in any manner not specified by the manufacturer. Do not perform any unauthorized modifications to the product. For service and repair, contact Typhoon HIL Inc. at www.typhoon-hil.com/contact.

Guideline Type Guidelines

General Guidelines

  • Do not disassemble the device unless you are qualified as a service personnel
  • Do not place any heavy object on the product
  • Avoid rough handling that could lead to damaging the product
  • Do not discharge static electricity into the device
  • Do not block or obstruct the cooling vent opening
  • Do not connect voltages greater than 24 V or less than -24 V to the IO connectors

Power - HIL6 series

  • Use only C13 IEC cables appropriate for your country
  • Do not interrupt the ground connection
  • Input voltage rating: 110/240V ⏦ 50/60Hz

Power - HIL4 series

  • Use only the provided DC adapter
  • Input voltage rating: 12V ⎓ 5A

Cleaning

  • Disconnect the power cord before cleaning
  • Use only mild detergents and a wet cloth
  • Do not use harsh chemicals such as acetone, toluene etc.
Operating Environment
  • Indoor only, pollution degree 2 or less
  • Relative humidity: ˂80 % at 31 °C, 50 % at 40 °C
  • Altitude: ˂2000 m
  • Temperature: 5 °C to 40 °C
Storage Environment
  • Indoor only
  • Relative humidity: ˂80 %

Warning, risk of electric shock

HIL series emulators should be placed on a flat surface, free of vibrations and dust. When setting up the device and connecting your hardware to it, please observe the following guidelines:

  • Make sure that the device is turned off
  • Place the device on a flat surface, maintaining 10 cm clearance from the device back panel
  • Make sure that the ventilation holes are not covered
  • Position the device so that power cord disconnection is possible
  • Follow the Quick-start document provided inside the Typhoon HIL shipping package
